An Amazing Night For A Wonderful Man

On Sunday 9th February, the choir gave a joint concert with Pendeen Silver Band and St Mary’s Church of England School choir to honour the memory of Rev Julyan Drew. The concert was held in Chapel Street Methodist church in Penzance. For all the participants it was a privilege to participate in the concert as one of the aims was to raise funding for a memorial bench which will have pride of place in Newlyn next to the beautiful bronze and granite Newlyn Fishermen’s memorial. It is also perhaps one of the most rewarding as well as strenuous in the learning of new music in just a short period of time. From Stockholm to St Ives

On Sunday 22nd September, Mousehole MVC hosted a concert in St Ives as part of the week long festival. Cornwall’s Best Choirs Under One Roof

This year’s mid Summer concert finished the week on a high after the week’s low when the choir said goodbye to Arthur Brown, a bass member of the choir for sixty-eight years. Choir Pays Tribute To Cornish Heroes

Rick, originally from Hayle, was Security Chief for Morgan Stanley at the World Trade Centre and is credited with saving the lives of over 2,500 people, as he evacuated them from the South Tower.
