Archbishop's visit to Penzance

Tuesday 19th November, 2013 - 10:27am

On Saturday 16th November the choir was greatly honoured to sing in St Mary's church Penzance for the visit of the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd. and Rt. Hon. Justin Welby.

The choir entertained the congregationwith a half-hour recital before the service began and sang again at the end of the service.

The Archbishop personally thanked the choir for their participation and expressed his pleasure in the quality of the singing.

Choir Secretary, Tim James, presented him with a copy of the choir's Centenary book and their new CD "Christmas with Mousehole". He was delighted with both of these.

Great praise and thanks is due to Stephen our Musical Director and Annette our accompanist for the work they put in to create such a special performance for the event.
