Help for Heroes

Tuesday 12th April, 2016 - 9:54am

Months of teamwork between wounded armed forces veterans, renowed gig builder Andrew Nancarrow has led to a new gig being built over the winter months at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth. This culminated in the launch of H4H Valiant four days ago. The gig is currently on its way from Falmouth to Sennen and being rowed by veterans who will then row it to the isles of Scilly, before being raced by a crew from the Help for Heroes charity in this year’s World Championships at the end of April.

Last evening (Wed 6th April) the choir were privileged to be invited by the landlord, Richard at The Dolphin, Penzance to support these servicemen where we sang to help raise money for funds for the charity Help for Heroes. It was a really great evening and it was truly inspirational to be be with these veterans. The pub was packed and hopefully the evening raised a lot of money to support them. Thank you one and all for being in The Dolphin with us and thank you Richard for inviting us to be part of a lovely evening. Thanks also to Matt Bromage for taking the photo.
